AI Pitch Deck Prompts
A great pitch deck tells a story about a problem worth solving and why your team is uniquely positioned to solve it. These prompts help you structure that narrative slide by slide.
1. Pitch Deck Story Arc
Best: ClaudeBuild a 12-slide pitch deck structure for [company/idea]. Industry: [industry]. Stage: [pre-seed/seed/series A]. Create: the narrative arc connecting all slides, a one-line purpose for each slide, what the investor should feel at each point, and the key data point or visual for each. Follow the problem-solution-traction-ask framework but make it feel like a story, not a template.
Specify your stage and target investor type. Claude structures narratives that build conviction progressively.
2. Problem Slide Writer
Best: ClaudeWrite the content for my pitch deck's "Problem" slide. The problem: [describe]. Audience: [investor type]. Make it visceral: use a specific example or scenario that illustrates the pain, quantify the problem (cost, time, frequency), show why existing solutions fail, and end with the implication ("which means..."). Under 50 words for the slide, plus speaker notes.
Investors fund problems, not solutions. Make the problem undeniable before introducing your answer.
3. Market Size Slide
Best: PerplexityHelp me calculate and present TAM/SAM/SOM for [product/market]. My product: [describe]. Pricing: [model]. Geography: [target]. Show: the top-down and bottom-up calculation for each, the assumptions behind each number, and how to present this visually. Flag if my market size looks unrealistic and suggest adjustments.
Perplexity can find current market data with sources. Bottom-up calculations are more credible than top-down alone.
4. Competitive Advantage Slide
Best: ClaudeDesign my competitive landscape slide. My product: [describe]. Competitors: [list with brief descriptions]. Create: a 2x2 matrix with the right axes that make us stand out, a brief positioning statement for each competitor, my unfair advantage explained in one sentence, and speaker notes addressing "what if [big company] does this?"
Choose axes where you genuinely win. Claude identifies authentic differentiators rather than manufactured ones.
5. Ask Slide and Use of Funds
Best: ClaudeWrite the "Ask" slide for a [stage] raise of [amount]. Create: the funding ask with confidence, a use of funds breakdown (hire, build, grow) with percentages, milestones this funding will achieve, timeline to next raise or profitability, and what metrics investors should expect in 18 months. Be specific but realistic.
Investors want to know what this specific money buys. Claude helps balance ambition with credibility.
