AI Twitter/X Prompts
Twitter rewards sharp thinking in few words. These prompts help you craft tweets that earn engagement and threads that build authority, not just post for the sake of posting.
1. Tweet Thread Writer
Best: ChatGPTWrite a Twitter thread about [topic]. Structure: Hook tweet (bold claim or surprising insight under 280 chars), 7-10 body tweets (one idea per tweet, each standalone but building on the last), and a recap/CTA tweet. Use simple language, short sentences, and at least one data point or example. Make the hook retweet-worthy on its own.
The hook tweet determines thread performance. Write it last after the best insights emerge.
2. Quote Tweet Response
Best: ClaudeI want to quote-tweet this post: [paste tweet]. My take: [your angle]. Write a quote tweet that: adds genuine insight (not just "this is so true"), positions me as someone who thinks deeply about [topic], is under 280 characters, and could spark discussion in replies. Give me 3 options: agree + extend, respectful pushback, and add unexpected angle.
Quote tweets that add new perspective perform best. Claude writes nuanced takes that avoid being generic.
3. Twitter Bio Optimizer
Best: ChatGPTOptimize my Twitter bio. Current: [paste current bio]. I want to attract: [target followers]. My key differentiator: [what makes you unique]. Generate 5 bio options that: say what I do and for whom, include a personality element, fit in 160 characters, and make someone want to follow. Avoid buzzwords and "passionate about" language.
Your bio is your landing page. ChatGPT is good at concise, keyword-rich copy under tight character limits.
4. Engagement Bait Alternatives
Best: ChatGPTI want to increase engagement without using "engagement bait." Topic: [your niche]. Generate 10 tweet ideas that naturally prompt replies: hot takes that genuinely divide opinion, "which would you choose" dilemmas, "unpopular opinion" that's actually interesting, asking for specific advice, and sharing a strong opinion with receipts. Each under 280 chars.
Genuine engagement comes from genuine opinions. Avoid the "wrong answers only" format - it's been overdone.
5. Daily Posting Schedule
Best: ClaudeCreate a 7-day Twitter posting schedule for someone in [niche]. Per day: 2 original tweets, 1 thread (only 2 days/week), 3 reply targets (types of accounts/tweets to engage with). Include: optimal posting times, content type mix (insight, story, question, curation), and weekend vs. weekday strategy. Goal: [growth/authority/leads].
Consistency matters more than volume. Claude designs sustainable strategies that avoid burnout.
